Trojan Remover is intended to remove malware. Actually, it is not meant to work alone. Instead, it should be used together with other antivirus programs, which can successfully detect ill-intentioned code but not always succeed in removing it.
The application is very easy to use. All you need is to start the scan process, and the program will take care of the rest for you. Unfortunately, it has very few options. For example, you cannot decide what elements to keep or delete. Besides whole system scans, you can also search for malware in specific folders. Several areas are included in the scan, such as rootkit services, registry run keys, hidden registry entries, services, etc. The results of the scan are stored in a detailed log file, which you can view with a simple text editor. If you prefer not worrying about performing scans, you can set the application to automatically inspect your computer every time you start it.
Trojan Remover uses a malware database that it needs to update frequently. Fortunately, this process is completely automatic so you will not need to worry about that. In addition, the application lets you view this database.
All in all, you should bear in mind that Trojan Remover is not enough to prevent malware infections and their consequences. Its main use is to compensate the weaknesses of other standard antivirus programs.
